CLASS 1: Cake Baking, Filling, and Frosting
Whether you are a beginner or an experienced baker, Class 1 will cover vital techniques invaluable to taking your baking experience to the next level. We will guide you through how to properly bake your cake evenly, create a crumb layer before icing, whip up butter cream frosting, the filling, and then show you how to frost a cake like a professional.
CLASS 2: Decorating with Butter Cream and Fondant
Now we have the basics down of how to bake, fill, and frost our cakes. The next step is to make your cake a delight to the eyes, as well as to the palate! Using cake “dummies” and rotating cake decorating stands, you and the pastry bag will become one. Get tons of practice creating butter cream borders and flowers as well as learn how easy it is to make your own fondant and work with it.
CLASS 3: Chocolate, Specialty Cakes, and Truffles
This class will round us off on all we have learned in the first two classes of the series. We will cover what it means in detail to temper chocolate, and why doing so is necessary to give you that perfect texture that makes chocolate extra special. Using all our previously learned techniques we will make a decadent:
- Milk, Dark, and White Chocolate Cremeux Cake
- Citrus Chiffon Cake w/Coconut Cream Filling
- and Chocolate Truffles.
